The Tens machine was incredible during labour, and it came with everything ready to go in a bag with easy return and option to extend hire should I need.
When I went into hospital I dilated relatively quickly, my midwife popped the TENS on and it was honestly the best distraction.
I almost didn’t get a tens this time around, as didn’t really find it useful with my first pregnancy. But I was reminded that every pregnancy and labour is different… so it was a last minute just in case hire and the delivery turn around time gave me a peace of mind, it arrived within a couple of days and thank goodness! It was a lifesaver this time around, taking me all the way to the end and I birthed my baby without any drugs! 100% would recommend. Easy, no fuss hire that gave me a positive and empowering experience.

This was my first time trying a TENS machine and I found it really helpful. I was able to have an unmedicated birth and I used it from around 3cm dilated until I started pushing (I then got into a birth pool). Most of my pain in labour was at the front, so the TENS did not take the pain away completely it helped to dull the pain and distract my mind. With the TENS I was also able to move around a lot and be less tense during each contraction, so I was able to walk and sway and stay upright.
I started using the tens machine when my contractions first started to become regular. It provided a good distraction from the discomfort. I continued using it in active labour with the gas and managed several hours more of contractions. The service from Bliss Birth is incredible, from the package you initially receive, the easy to follow instructions and the kindly worded reminders to return the machine after and super easy return package. Fabulous.

Process to hire and return was easy! Unfortunately I didn’t need to use as I ended up having an emergency caesarean.
Although I wasn’t able to use our hired TENS machine as bubba was a big gal and we chose to go through a planned Cesarean for our first birth to avoid birth trauma, the whole Bliss Birth process was a dream.

The TENS machine was amazing in the early stages of my labour. It helped me focus and calm down with each contraction and made the pain feel at ease. The feeling of the tens machine definitely helped me feel more calm with each contraction increasing in pain. Would 100% recommend!!
Being able to rent a tens machine at lower cost was really helpful. I live in remote Australia and did not have access to one without buying one myself which I didn’t want to do as this may be my last birth. I didn’t have a tens machine for my first birth and really wanted to try this for pain management to avoid having an epidural, as in my previous labour the epidural failed. The tens machine worked wonders for me and got me through my second labour with gas for pain relief as well. It comes in a lovely bag you get to keep and you post it back after your birth. Very convenient and ships Australia wide perfect for women in rural and remote areas who may lack resources. Thank you :)
Not only was the tens machine a game changer in what was my fourth labour, but hiring it from Bliss Birth was so easy. Cannot recommend highly enough, this little machine got me through 90% of my labour without much fuss.

I didn't use a TENS for my first birth but after using it for my second birth I would recommend the TENS to anyone about to embark on their labour experience.
I used the TENS in early stages of labour and half way through active labour where I Unfortunately had to remove it due to baby needing a clip for monitoring and it Unfortunately interferes with this monitoring. But once the TENS was off I definitely needed pain relief to get through contractions. I wished I could have kept the TENS on because it was amazing.
Highly recommended Bliss Birth for hire too. Delivery was prompt and arrived well before the date I put for hire and the return process was easy with the prepaid postage bag and the reminders to ensure it was returned on time.

This helped me get to 6cms before tapping out and needing an Epidural due to exhaustion. I believe if I wasn’t so tired and worn out I could’ve used this all the way to 10cms.
